Société Air Tahiti Société Anonyme is a regional airline with its head office on the property of Faa'a International Airport, in Faaa, Tahiti, French Polynesia, near Papeete. Air Tahiti's network covers 46 islands within French Polynesia, plus the island of Rarotonga. Its main base is Faa'a International Airport.

The airline was established and started operations in 1953 as Réseau Aérien Interinsulaire (RAI), when the government of French Polynesia took over the operations of small private carrier Air Tahiti, dating from 1950. In 1958 RAI was taken over by the French airline TAI (later UTA). The name Air Polynésie was adopted in 1970, with the further change of identity to Air Tahiti implemented in January 1987, when UTA sold its shares in Air Polynesie to local shareholders. In January 1987 ATR aircraft replaced earlier Fokker aircraft. In 2003 the airline carried nearly 729,000 passengers.
Air Tahiti has 1,018 employees (at March 2007) and is owned by the French Polynesian Government (13.7%), Socredo Bank (13.4%), employees (8.4%), private shareholders (33.5), Air France (7.48%) and the rest by other institutional investors.

ANA Movie: Happy Flight ハッピーフライト

Happy Flight (ハッピーフライト Happī Furaito?) is a Japanese comedy film directed by Shinobu Yaguchi about pilots and flight attendants. All Nippon Airways (ANA) backed the creation of the film. The airline sponsored a giveaway of Happy Flight DVDs and other items to certain members of ANA's mileage club.

The film Happy Flight is about Kazuhiro Suzuki, a copilot who is trying to qualify as a pilot, and Etsuko Saitō, a young flight attendant going on her first international flight, who service an All Nippon Airways 747-400 as Flight 1980 to Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. Suzuki feels stressed when Captain Noriyoshi Harada becomes his evaluator, while Saitō becomes stressed when she learns she is working under Chief Purser Reiko Yamazaki. The story also tells the story of Natsumi Kimura, a ground staffer who deals with issues regarding the flight.

The plot revolves around the logistics of preparing Flight 1980 for a timely departure. The aircraft serving has been reported with malfunctioning heated pitot tubes, but the captain decides to postpone the repair to avoid delays, relying on redundant instruments available. Bird patrol has been dispatched to fend off pigeons. Immediately after takeoff, an instrument alarm prompts the captain in command to switch to the backup pitot tube as their primary indication. The captain mistakenly transmits the cabin announcement to the air traffic channel.

Inflight services commence shortly after the seat belt sign has been turned off. Due to the fully and overbooked flight, not all passengers could receive their first choice of lunch between beef and fish; the cabin purser gives her stewardess a lesson in dealing with demand imbalance: promoting the less wanted fish. The stewardess follows through with her first mishap, describing the beef as "plain and ordinary." She then fumbles orders for white wine, apple juice, and motion sickness drugs. She corrects the drink orders; but the ill passenger vomits onto her uniform.

EVA Airways Corporation is an airline based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, Taiwan, operating passenger and dedicated cargo services to over 40 international destinations in Asia, Australia,Europe and North America. EVA Air is largely privately owned and flies a fully international route network. It is the second largest Taiwanese airline, next in size to its main rival, China Airlines. EVA Air is headquartered in Lujhu, Taoyuan County.

Hello Kitty Jet in EVA air

In October 2005, EVA Air launched a campaign with Japanese company Sanrio to create the "Hello Kitty Jet," featuring the popular Japanese character. Using the airline's A330-200, the exterior adopted a livery of Hello Kitty characters. A year later, the airline launched a second Hello Kitty Jet. The aircraft featured a Hello Kitty motif on exterior and interior fittings and features. Both planes were used to serve Japanese destinations, and from mid–July 2007, also Taipei-Hong Kong routes. The original Hello Kitty livery was retired in 2009, but in 2011 EVA Air announced its return in redesigned form to mark the carrier's 20th anniversary and renew interest in Japanese tourism.

Ryanair Sexy Cabin Crew Strip for Charity Calendar 2012

Huff Post, Nov 3 - Ryanair, ever the bastion of reason in modern airline travel, issued its annual Cabin Crew Charity Calendar on Wednesday.

The airline aims to raise nearly 100,000€ for DebRA, a U.K.-based charity, which will in turn provide 50 families, each with children who suffer from epidermolysis bullosa skin condition, to enjoy a vacation in Malaga, Spain.

This is the fourth such calendar for the airline, which has to date raised some 400,000€ for charity.

The airline is selling the calendars on its flights, online and from DebRA's charity shops in Ireland and Spain.

Yet this isn't the first time an airline has used its flight attendants' good looks to get ahead. Sir Richard Branson enlisted his buddy Elle Macpherson to model the new uniforms for Virgin Blue back in February.

Ryanair needs all the good press (if you can call it that) it can get. In October, the airline caught flack for removing toilets on some planes to make room for extra seats and aborting a flight after tape on the window came loose.
